The next Council meeting will be next Thursday, May 5th at 9am. We have a full agenda designed to give everyone a chance to update the group on what they are working on, celebrating our current projects and preparing for the next round of grant funding.

April 28 – Climate Resilience Workshop 9am-Noon

Come join our county-wide discussion on Climate Resilience, how we are doing, what tools are available, and ways we can build climate resilience into our future projects. The workshop will be held at the Ventura County Government Center Hall of Justice, 800 South Victoria Ave.

May 23 – Disadvantaged Community Funding Workshop

DisadvantagedCommunity_MapOn Monday, May 23rd at 1:00 p.m. at the County’s Saticoy Operations Yard in Saticoy, Watersheds Coalition of Ventura County (WCVC) will be convening a short General Membership meeting followed by a focused discussion about opportunities for funding and technical assistance for disadvantaged community (low income) areas within our Region (Ventura County).
For a map of Disadvantaged Community DACs in California, see the Department of Water Resources’ Disadvantaged Community Mapping Tool:  http://www.water.ca.gov/irwm/grants/resources_dac.cfm  You can just type in Ventura County in the search box and then click on the various filters and layers to see which areas are identified as disadvantaged, using recent Census data.

Draft Proposal Solicitation Notice (PSN) for Wildlife Conservation Board Funding

The Wildlife Conservation Board has released the Draft PSN for Prop 1 California Stream Flow Enhancement Program Funding. Public comments are due May 9th, 2016 and a public workshop will be held on May 13th.
