Ventura County Local Coastal Program Update – Central Coast
Central Coast session – Wednesday, May 9 – 6:00-7:00PM

The community is invited to participate in public workshops focused on Environmentally Sensitive Habitat Areas in the unincorporated areas of Ventura County. These community meetings serve as a step in Ventura County’s process to complete updates to the Local Coastal Program (LCP), which is the document that defines the County’s goals, policies, programs, and land use regulations for the coastal zone. More details can be found here: https://vcrma.org/ventura-county-local-coastal-program-update

CDFW Prop 1 Restoration Grant Program Application Workshop
Wednesday, May 9, 1:00pm

CDFW will hold the first of two application workshops for the FY 2018-19 Proposition 1 Proposal Solicitation Notice, this Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at 1:00 pm.

The second workshop will be held May 30, 2018. These online workshops are not required as part of the application process. Both workshops will be recorded and posted online, as will a Frequently Asked Question (FAQ) document. 

CA Fire Safe Council 2018 Grant Program
Applications due May 15th 

Purpose of funding:  Hazardous fuels reduction and maintenance projects, education and outreach
Funding Scope: Two funding programs; see website for details for max amounts and required match

Wildlife Conservation Board’s Climate Adaptation and Resiliency Grant Program
Pre-applications due May 18th 

Purpose of Funding: Wildlife habitat restoration/enhancement + carbon sequestration/GHG reductions
Funding Scope: I don’t think there’s a min or max amount, and no requirement on cost-share

CA Coastal Conservancy’s Prop 1 Opportunity 
Applications due on June 8th

Purpose of Funding: Multi-benefit ecosystem and watershed protection and restoration projects; priority project types include: water sustainability improvements, anadromous fish habitat enhancement, wetland restoration and urban greening
Funding Scope: No min or max, no match requirement

CA Coastal Conservancy’s Climate Ready Grant Program
Applications due on July 2nd

Purpose of Funding: Multi-benefit projects that use natural systems to assist communities in adapting to the impacts of climate change.
