Next Tuesday, April 3, the Ventura River Watershed Council will hold the group’s first evening meeting. Evening meetings will be held twice a year to encourage participation by stakeholders unable to attend daytime meetings.

Members of the public are welcome to attend this, and any of the Council’s meetings.

At the meeting we’ll hear from Anna Huber (RA Atmore & Sons) about the giant reed removal project on the Taylor Ranch/Woods Claeyssens property, from Rob Orth (of Project Understanding) about the homeless situation in the river, and from Emily Ayala (Thacher family) of Friends Ranch about agriculture in the Ojai Valley. There will be a brief presentation about history of the Watershed Council, an overview of watershed management planning, and then we’ll have time for a discussion – to share ideas, concerns, questions, and announcements.

The meeting will run from 6:00 – 8:30 pm at the Oak View Community Center, located at 18 Valley Road in Oak View. Agenda 4-3-12
