The Ventura River Watershed Resilience Pilot (VRWRP) Project was directed by the Ventura River Watershed Council, which serves as the primary project network. In January 2025, the Council’s Leadership Committee formed a technical sub-group—the WRP Advisory Group—to provide technical review, collaborative guidance, and recommendations to strengthen the WRP planning effort. This Advisory Group included interested members of the Leadership Committee and other entities and interested parties invited to lend their expertise and ideas. The Advisory Group’s priority was to support equitable, collaborative, and sustainable watershed resilience planning. The Advisory Group advised both the WRP technical consultant team and the Council, which retained final decision-making authority
