Nov. 7 Watershed Council Meeting Materials

The Ventura River Watershed Council will meet tomorrow morning, November 7, 2013, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, in the Topping Room of the Foster Library, 651 E. Main Street.

This is an important meeting. Al Leydecker has been working hard on a presentation (Leydecker_Nitrates) for us explaining what some of the data suggests with regard to sources of nitrogen in the watershed. And the rest of the meeting focuses on parts of the watershed management plan that we are developing together.

Below are materials for the meeting.

Agenda

Draft List of Accomplishments. This is still a draft. I did not get much response or input from you all on this. But thanks much to those who did respond.

Memo Introducing the 5-Campaigns Idea

Concept Draft of Campaign Profiles. This is still very much a concept draft. Some sections are better developed than others. The idea is to create themes or campaigns that bring our various efforts together in a way that is coherent to us, to policy makers, to the public, and to potential funders. Each campaign summarizes an issue and provides specific integrated solutions to address the issue. I’ve received some good suggestions for ways we can approach the messaging of these campaigns, which we can discuss, but the first step is to see what the group thinks of the general idea. I’ve included a Table of Contents so you can see the overall structure at a glance.

My apologies for being so late in getting this out to you.
